Dr Who Scarf

My lovely wife took this photo. I couldn’t wait to show everyone! This is a variation on how I will probably wear it for Halloween. I am going as the scarf.

Probably just as well you changed the photo; something about the lighting gave you scary eyes in the first one, which would be appropriate if you were a zombie, but as a scarf, not so much. You look adorable, wearing nothing BUT a huge scarf. I hope wherever you are trick or treating (perhaps indoors, at a nice party) is warm enough that that exposed skin does not turn blue.

Mmmm, wearing nothing but a scarf. Just get one end loose and spin you around a few times, and you are suddenly “dressed” as Lady Godiva. With not quite enough hair.

I hope you have fun in the costume. And, I suppose I should ask, where did you get a scarf that BIG, long enough to wind around you several times? You’re a petite girl but you’re not 12 inches tall. That’s gotta be a bigger than average scarf.

Yeah, I liked my final product better than the original picture. It took some experimentation to get a good wrap! The scarf was shown off at a Dr. Who themed party and I was plenty warm. As for where I got the scarf, I knitted it. It is in fact many feet long – here is a website devoted to the Dr. Who Scarf, and this is the pattern I used. http://www.doctorwhoscarf.com/season12.php

Thanks for the reply. The fact that I’ve never watched a episode of Dr. Who made my question a stupid one (or more precisely an ignorant one); I can see from the photos that the scarf, as he wears it in the show, IS bigger than an average scarf, and plenty long enough to cover you nicely. Must have taken a long time to knit, but other than remembering when to change colors, at least it shouldn’t have been too tricky. But it was a lot of work! I hope you don’t wear it just this once.
